Rick comes to the Hovde Group with over 25 years of investment experience.  His most recent position was that of Sr. Client Advisor within the Huntington Private bank where he worked with high net worth individuals and families.  Prior to Huntington, Rick held Managing Director/Institutional Sales positions at Rosenblatt Securities, Northcoast Research and FTN Midwest Research.  Rick also worked at Veard & Lowe Investments where he focused on acquisitions, marketing and investment syndications.  Veard & Lowe nationally syndicated and managed various types of multi-family real estate partnerships across the Southwest and Midwest.

Rick holds a B.A. from the University of Tennessee and an MBA from John Carroll University in Ohio.  He lives in Chagrin Falls, Ohio with his wife, Amanda, who is an accomplished educator and literacy author; she is also the founder and owner of the Stretch & Catch Reading Center.  Rick and Amanda have three wonderful redheaded children ages 17, 15 & 12.  When Rick is not working, he enjoys family activities, travel, sports, golf and reading.
