Mr. Strickland is a Director in the Research Department for Hovde Group, responsible for equity research coverage of the US Bank Sector.

He joined Hovde Group in July 2024 after six and a half years at Janney Montgomery Scott and FIG Partners where he covered small and mid-cap banks. Prior to that he worked at the Federal Home Loan Bank of Atlanta as a credit risk analyst and securities collateral analyst, analyzing the creditworthiness and collateral eligibility of banks, respectively.

Mr. Strickland has been quoted in various publications including the New York Times, Wall Street Journal, Bloomberg, Bank Director Magazine and American Banker for his industry analysis and company specific research. He graduated from College of Charleston with a BSc in Economics and received an MBA in Finance and International Business from Georgia Tech.
