Brendan Nosal is a Director in the Research Department for Hovde Group, responsible for equity research coverage of the US Bank Sector. Prior to joining Hovde Group in February 2024, Mr. Nosal spent the prior decade at Piper Sandler (formerly Sandler O’Neill + Partners), where he was most recently a Director and Senior Research Analyst. His research coverage focuses on banks in the Midwest.

Mr. Nosal holds a bachelor’s degree from Fordham University, where he graduated summa cum laude, and a Master of Arts in Economics from Fordham University. Mr. Nosal is licensed with the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority as a registered representative and holds the Series 7, 63, 86, and 87 licenses. A New York native, Mr. Nosal currently resides in New Jersey with his wife and two children.
