Mr. Blumberg is a Managing Director in Hovde’s Investment Banking Group. He provides investment banking services, including M&A advisory and capital markets solutions, to depository institutions primarily in the Mid-Atlantic, Northeast, and Southwest regions. Mr. Blumberg has spent the last decade advising financial institutions on equity raises, debt financings, and M&A transactions totaling over $10 billion in value. Mr. Blumberg regularly works with management teams and boards to achieve their strategic objectives and maximize shareholder value through M&A, balance sheet and regulatory capital optimization strategies and other strategic initiatives. Prior to joining Hovde in 2016, Mr. Blumberg was a member of the depository investment banking team at Jefferies since its inception in 2010. At Jefferies, Mr. Blumberg covered depository institutions in the Northeast, Mid-Atlantic and Southwest. Mr. Blumberg joined Jefferies after spending two years in the Financial Institutions Group at Lazard, where he worked on a number of transformational M&A and capital markets transactions for financial institutions. Mr. Blumberg holds a bachelor’s degree in Economics and Spanish from Amherst College, where he graduated magna cum laude, and a master’s degree from Columbia University. He lives in New York City. Mr. Blumberg is licensed with the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority and holds the following licenses: Series 7, 63, and 79.
