Mr. Gerlinger is an Analyst in the Research Department for Hovde Group, responsible for equity research coverage of the U.S. bank sector. He joined Hovde Group in 2021 from Truist Securities. Prior to Truist Securities, he spent three years at Piper Jaffray & Co. While there he supported coverage of Southeast, Southwest and Puerto Rican banks. Prior to joining Piper Jaffray, he spent nearly three years as an Equity Research Analyst at Old National Bank – Wealth Management covering the Financial Sector and actively managing the dividend portfolio. He began his career in 2011 at Murphy Pohlad Asset Management with a focus on the Financial sector.

Mr. Gerlinger holds two bachelor’s degrees, Finance and Marketing, from the University of Minnesota.
