James D. Nuber
Mr. Nuber is a Managing Director in the Investment Banking Group of Hovde. Mr. Nuber brings over twenty-five years of experience in the field of corporate finance and investment banking for financial institutions. As a senior member of Hovde’s investment banking team, he is responsible for strategic implementation of financial advisory and capital solutions for banks across the U.S. Mr. Nuber regularly advises community banks and thrifts on their strategic options, including structuring and negotiating mergers, acquisitions, sale assignments, branch acquisitions and divestitures, and raising equity and debt capital.
Prior to joining Hovde, Mr. Nuber was a Managing Director with Sandler O’Neill Partners, L.P. in New York, where he provided investment banking advisory services to community banks and thrifts in the areas of mergers and acquisitions, capital raising and capital management strategies. Prior to joining Sandler O’Neill in 1996, Mr. Nuber worked at several investment banking boutiques where he also advised community banks and thrifts on mergers and acquisitions and capital markets matters. Mr. Nuber has been working with community banks and thrifts since 1990. Mr. Nuber holds a Master of Business Administration from Rutgers Business School and a Bachelor of Arts from Elmhurst College. Mr. Nuber also holds the following FINRA licenses: Series 7, 24, 63, and 79.
