Mr. Fitzgerald has extensive experience providing investment banking services to middle market clients across a number of industries.  His areas of expertise include mergers and acquisitions, corporate divestitures, capital raising, and restructuring transactions. After beginning his career at Hovde, Mr. Fitzgerald received his J.D. and M.B.A. degrees at Northwestern University School of Law and Kellogg School of Management, respectively.  During graduate school, he worked in the private equity practice group of Ropes and Gray LLP, a multinational law firm.  Upon graduation, Mr. Fitzgerald spent time at Lazard, a boutique investment bank, advising middle market clients in the business services and consumer retail industries.  He is licensed to practice law in the State of Illinois and is licensed with the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority and holds his Series 7, 63 and 79 licenses.

A native of Barrington, Illinois, Mr. Fitzgerald earned his Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and International Studies from Northwestern University and his Master of Business Administration and Juris Doctor from the Kellogg School of Management and Northwestern University School of Law, respectively.
